TREND SETTER

            Fashion trend for 2011
We all want that vintage vibe in our wardrobe, an essence of an era gone by.
Whatever your taste in fashion, 2011 is likely to be an inspirational year.  With new cuts and distinctive silhouettes, contrasting bright hues of reddish-pink and blue and fashion designers' continued love affair with the 70s and maxi-length dresses, 2011 is going to be a memorable year on the fashion radar. While the vintage look can take on a lot of years this spring it’s going to be the 70s that are going to be out inspiration. The boho look but with a sophisticated look.
The emphasis being on high waisted trousers, cute blouses with billowing sleeves or for the teen chic those all so important hot pants. Think sophistication, shimmering fabrics, chiffon and silk, long slinky gowns with low necklines and ruffle necklines.
Jumpsuits for day or night, There is going to be oversized floral and botanical images, eye catching prints and because you can wear especially in the spring and summer, stripes and floral in combination.
                 Must-Have Pieces for 2011
Expect to see more of those harem pants and wide-leg culottes and trousers, alongside boiler-suit style jumpsuits. After fall winter 2010’s love affair with everything aviator – enter aviator trousers to complement the jacket of last season. Seventies-style flares, culottes and dungarees also make a comeback
However, those who invested in 2010's revival of midi-length skirts and maxi-length dresses may be relieved to know that these were not a one-season wonder. Floor grazing hemlines and calf-length midis are just as much in vogue for spring 2011. Watch out for maxi dresses with deep front splits and sheer maxi skirts. The peplum waist frill makes a welcome return too, adorning dresses, skirts and tops.
There and underlying confidence to this trend, the demure look can be carried off with an air of sexuality and boldness, exotic jewels and stunning wedges and 70s style killer heels.
